In 2026, my team achieved first place in the National AI Build-A-Thon, an innovation competition focused on developing practical solutions using artificial intelligence. The competition required participants to combine technical knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and effective communication within a challenging development environment.
The Challenge
Developing an AI-based solution for a competition involves more than training a model. The team must clearly define the problem, identify an appropriate technical approach, organize development tasks, and demonstrate how the proposed solution can create practical value.
A major challenge was maintaining a balance between technical feasibility, innovation, and clear presentation.
My Contribution
I contributed to problem analysis, solution planning, collaborative decision-making, and presentation preparation. I worked with the team to organize the proposed solution and communicate its technical and practical value effectively.
The experience required rapid learning, structured teamwork, and the ability to respond to feedback under competitive conditions.
Achievement and Impact
Winning first place nationally was an important recognition of our collective effort and problem-solving ability. It strengthened my interest in developing responsible AI systems that address meaningful real-world challenges.
The achievement also improved my confidence in technical presentation, solution development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Reflection
The competition demonstrated that successful AI innovation depends on the quality of the problem formulation, evaluation, teamwork, and communication—not only the complexity of the technology.
